SURROUNDINGS NATURAL PARK
We are located between the final stretches of the rivers Ter and Daró as they flow through Gualta. At the foot of the Montgrí Massif and surrounded by fields — sometimes cereals, sometimes apple orchards — we enjoy a setting that feels peacefully removed, yet remains at the heart of the Empordà.
Without a doubt, our grandparents chose this place wisely. Today, it is here that L’Horta de Can Patxei brings its gastronomic project to life.
We are situated within the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park, a protected area that brings together three distinct landscapes: the Montgrí Massif, the coastline and the Medes Islands, and the fertile plain of the Baix Ter.
It is one of the few protected areas in Catalonia that encompasses both land and sea, with an extraordinary diversity of landscapes, habitats and wildlife. A natural environment that defines the place we call home.
This richness can be discovered in many ways: on foot, by bicycle or along the Mediterranean coast.
Just a few kilometres from Gualta, the region offers a wide range of cultural, leisure and outdoor activities, making it easy to complement your visit with countless experiences.
